Our Story
Founded by a Bird Lover, for Bird Lovers
What started with one Indian Ringneck and a cardboard box became a mission to make enrichment better for every companion parrot.

It Started with Piper
Piper is an Indian Ringneck parrot with a personality ten times her size. She shredded everything — books, receipts, the occasional important document. But the toys marketed as “enrichment” sat untouched in her cage.
So we built her a cardboard house. And she destroyed it in three glorious days — chewing every wall, foraging through every chamber, perching on every edge. It was the most engaged we'd ever seen her.
That's when we realized: the destruction wasn't a bug. It was the entire point. A bird that's shredding, climbing, and exploring is a bird that's thriving. Piper's Playhouse is designed to be destroyed — and then replaced, again and again, because enrichment should never stop.
The Flagship Product
Piper's Playhouse is a flat-pack corrugated cardboard playhouse for small to medium parrots. It ships flat, assembles in under five minutes with no tools or glue, and is fully customizable with bird-safe toy and treat add-ons.
Every material is chosen with bird safety as the absolute priority: non-toxic cardboard, food-safe inks, zero VOCs, no metal fasteners. Because enrichment should never come at the cost of your bird's health.
Why Cardboard?
Corrugated cardboard is the ideal enrichment material for parrots. It's lightweight enough to be safe, sturdy enough to build structures, and satisfying to chew. Birds can shred it, tear it, forage through it, and perch on it — all natural behaviors that keep them mentally and physically healthy.
Unlike plastic or metal toys, cardboard is non-toxic and digestible in small amounts. It engages a bird's natural instinct to destroy, which reduces stress, prevents feather plucking, and keeps beaks healthy through natural wear.
And when the playhouse is finally demolished? You recycle the pieces and build a new one. Guilt-free enrichment, every time.
